Sia’s New Video Is A Tribute To Orlando Shooting Victims

Sia‘s got a new album on the way, called We Are Your Children, and dropped the first taste of what’s in store this week, with a new song and a video that appears to pay tribute to victims of the Pulse Nightclub shooting that happened back in June.

This video, like so many of her others, features her “mini-me”, Maddie Ziegler, who wears a dark wig and cries rainbow tears before leading a group of 48 other children in a dance routine. 49 people were killed in the Orlando shooting.

One of the dancers from the project shared this instagram video, saying he is “humbled” to be involved.

Maddie’s mom also shared a still from the video.

If you’re not a fan of the camera or audiences, you gotta get creative.

Sia has been pretty open about the fact that she isn’t big on the fame game or audiences for that matter hence the reason why she sings with her back turned and wears crazy wigs that cover her eyes.

So she has come to rely on others performing for her. In her latest video for Alive, Sia chose Mahiro Takana (which I’m pretty sure means “I dare you to F with me” in Japanese) to be her stand-in. Mahiro is a Karate Ambassador for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics who specializes in crushing Kankudai and has become quite a Youtube star by showing off her skills.

So who will be next?

I dunno but this Wee Beatrix Kiddo is definitely worthy.
