While We Work Through Our Cycle Of Superbowl Grief, Let’s Celebrate Lady Gaga And Our Favorite Pop Commercial Cameos.

“This Land Is Your Land”, a leap into a Superbowl stadium, choreographed fans and even a shout out to mom and dad.

Overall, the commercials were good right? I didn’t see any talking babies/animals which is a definite improvement and there were pop stars a plenty!

Timberlake and Walken.

Snoop and Martha

DJ Khaled

Bieber

I got a tweet that said “Gaga sucks”. I still don’t know why “sucks” is used as a negative adjective considering it’s popularity as a verb.

Respectful, layered and fun. It’s the Superbowl folks and some of us don’t have the energy to read about another media firestorm.

This Cartoon Theme Remake Reminds Us That Arthur Is The Hero/Aardvark We Need Right Now. (He Is An Aardvark Right?)

Source: Bustle

In case you missed, Late Show host, Stephen Colbert got Ziggy Marley, Chance The Rapper and Jon Batiste to remake this timely anthem for humanity.

and sure you might dismiss a sweet little cartoon mouse-vark in a yellow sweater and high-waisted pants but Arthur‘s theme song is incredibly on point!

Everyday when you’re walking down the street, everybody that you meet
Has an original point of view
And I say HEY! hey! what a wonderful kind of day!
Where you can learn to work and play
And get along with each other

You got to listen to your heart
Listen to the beat
Listen to the rhythm, the rhythm of the street
Open up your eyes, open up your ears
Get together and make things better by working together
It’s a simple message and it comes from the heart
Believe in yourself (echo: believe in yourself)
Well that’s the place to start (to start)

And I say HEY! hey! what a wonderful kind of day!
Where you learn to work and play
And get along with each other

And I say HEY! hey! what a wonderful kind of day!
Where you learn to work and play
And get along with each other

UK David Bowie Stamps Will Force A Strict Selection Process. Whose Card Is Worthy?

Source: Royal Mail

Sorry not sorry but Aunt Phyllis is probably not going to get a card with a Bowie stamp. Nor will any credit card bill….maybe no one is worthy? Maybe you’ll have to keep them all to yourself? Then again, unless you’re sending something to the UK you won’t be able to use them so I guess you will have to keep them all to yourself…

In the meantime, let’s listen to our favorite Starman and click here to pre-order stamps, fan sheets, bundles and more .

Ps- Royal Mail obviously winning the pop style game. Maybe we could get USPS postal carriers to wear stamp costumes? that would be fun. Maybe?

This will put to shame the Drake gossip of late. If you’d rather hear about his start, his hosting duties for the first ever NBA Awards, his idols and his dreams, rather than politics then this is worth your time.

Sit back, settle in and let’s get Drizzy.

THINK YOU CAN HANDLE FREESTYLE OPTIMISM? Chance The Rapper’s Call To Arms….And Legs And Feet And Smiles And Slides.

Source: Billboard

Chance The Rapper told GQ magazine not too long ago that he’s not afraid of a Trump presidency. He says, “In what I’ve seen happen so far, the good usually wins.”

Hence his #OptmisticChallenge.

In the video, Chance and friends get down to “Optimistic”, a track by Sounds Of Blackness. This 40-person, award-winning 90s gospel choir/orchestra was “designed to embrace all manners of African-American music and create rich, diverse music to celebrate God and the human spirit, as well as to make social statements.”

As Billboard pointed out, “Apparently, that’s the thing about optimism — it’s contagious.”

Let’s keep it going…

“Kanye West Soap Opera” Proves Yeezy’s Lyrics Could Save “Days Of Our Lives” From Cancellation.

Source: Uproxx

I want to believe James Corden recruited Bryan Cranston, Reggie Watts, Jessical Biel and Giovanni Ribisi for this sketch using only Kanye West lyrics (well mostly Kanye West lyrics) to send a message to NBC. Start incorporating rap lyrics into the script and Days Of Our Lives doesn’t have to die!

Not only does it work, I haven’t been this captivated by a soap opera since Marlena was possessed.

You could even give Kanye a role. No he won’t stick to the script but they would still be his words so it counts.
