EQ PlayThe Slacker’s EQ charts for the week of August 11th are out now! Take a look here.

Millions of Slacker music fans determine how these charts are ordered. By measuring how listeners listen to, skip, Heart, and Ban songs on Slacker, we are able to present these charts, which are a true measure of how engaged music fans are with the songs that they hear. Simply put: here are the songs that you love the most this week across all genres.

You’ll see just how hot country music is with Slacker listeners on the Overall chart, as Easton Corbin’s “All Over The Road” jumps up 11 spots to land in the top 10, and Keith Urban’s “Little Bit Of Everything” debuts at #32. We also see big moves from EMD and Indie artists, as Zedd and Capital Cities continue rising through the top 15 with the assistance of millions of Slacker music fans throughout the US and Canada.

Speaking of country, Tim McGraw’s “Southern Girl” continues to be one of the most engaging songs of the year with Slacker’s country audience. It’s up 8 spots to crack the top 20 in only it’s 3rd week on the Country chart. Eli Young Band’s “Drunk Last Night” and Charlie Worsham’s “Could It Be” also make their debuts on that chart this week.

Among Slacker’s Hip Hop/R&B fans, Justin Timberlake’s “Take Back the Night” makes a major statement by debuting at #11. K. Michelle’s “V.S.O.P.” also debuts at #40; Slacker listeners have been responding to this song very positively for weeks, and it has finally reached a large enough audience to elevate it in to the top 40.

Over at Alt/Indie, Bastille’s “Pompeii” makes the biggest jump of the week, up 7 spots to land at #21. And The Neighbourhood’s latest single “Afraid” makes its debut at #34. On the EDM chart, we see tracks from Knife Party, Hot Chip, and Unicorn Kid starting to resonate with Slacker listeners in a big way and making their respective chart debuts.

At Rock, we see two new entrants on to the chart with Papa Roach’s “Still Swinging” debuting at #35, and 10 Years’ “Backlash” checking in at #37. We also see a shift at the top, as Black Veil Brides’ “In the End” moves up 3 spots to take the #1 position.

And finally, the stars are out on the Pop chart, as Justin Timberlake’s new single “Take Back the Night” debuts at #28, and Pink’s latest “True Love” has the biggest jump of the week, moving up 33 spots to debut at #29.
